Our Team

Lee Vendig

Mr. Vendig is also the Founder and CEO of LDV Oil & Gas Consulting, based in Dallas, TX. LDV Oil & Gas Consulting provides tailored product marketing plans designed to meet each Independent Producer’s needs in the increasingly dynamic and complex energy markets. The volatility in the crude and gas markets today demand proactive management by marketing experts. LDV leverages the power of product aggregation and long-standing industry relationships to deliver exceptional and consistent results for its clients.

Mr. Vendig is a second-generation oil & gas professional with decades of global industry expertise and strong, established relationships across the sector. He has cultivated an extensive network of connections with producers and refineries worldwide, which he utilizes effectively to produce outsized results for his clients. Mr. Vendig oversees all aspects of LDV’s daily operations, including marketing and managing client and stakeholder engagements.

Mr. Vendig graduated Cum Laude from Millsaps College with a B.A. in English in 1993. He then attended the University of Tulsa College of Law where his studies focused in the areas of Oil & Gas and Environmental Law. In two years, he received a Resources, Energy and Environmental Law degree and certificate of recognition from the National Energy Environmental Law and Policy Institute. Mr. Vendig finished law school at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law. While finishing his studies he interned with the Environmental Protection Agency in the Superfund litigation department.

Mr. Vendig is board certified by the Texas Supreme Court since 1997. He practiced oil and gas law and has been involved in the industry for over 20 years.

Rommel Oates

Mr. Oates is also the Chairman and CEO for Refinery Calculator Inc, a global refining operations and technology software service company and Oates Energy Solutions LLC, a US based all-things energy, refining, chemicals and industrial gases services company.

Mr. Oates serves as a C-Suite Executive, Independent Public Board Director and inventor with two decades of experience serving in various roles at global Fortune 250, private equity and venture capital companies.

He excels at launching and scaling technology-centered businesses, consistently enhancing profitability and fostering growth. His broad-based expertise includes strategic planning, corporate finance, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, continuous improvement, product development, procurement, sales, M&A valuation and integration, fiduciary oversight and ESG governance. He is dedicated to building relationships and providing support to stakeholders, senior executive teams and boards of directors.

Mr. Oates holds an MBA from Tulane University, along with an M.S. and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami.

Shawn Sabanayagam

Mr. Sabanayagam is also the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Nirvana Holdings, LLC, a private diversified holding
company with operating companies in real estate investment, energy services and asset management. He is also the
Managing Partner of Hycroft Nirvana Capital (HNC), a private equity firm focused on commercial real estate
investments in the US.

Mr. Sabanayagam is a former Bain & Company consultant and co-founded Trident Partners in August 1999, leveraging
his expertise in business strategy and operations to help drive growth and success. Trident Partners, a middle market
private equity firm, invested in technology and manufacturing companies. Mr. Sabanayagam also served as the
Chairman and CEO of TSI Holdings, Inc., a Trident Partners portfolio company, for over 16 years. As its CEO, Mr.
Sabanayagam returned a 7.2 MOIC to his investors. More recently, he architected and completed the acquisition of
Resolve Tech Solutions (RTS), a technology services company focused on Federal, regulated and commercial sectors. As
RTS’ CEO, Mr. Sabanayagam grew the company’s revenues from $79M to $144M in less than 24 months. Mr.
Sabanayagam is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in Virginia. Prior to business school, Mr. Sabanayagam worked
for the engineering multinational, Parsons Corporation, in Washington, DC.

Mr. Sabanayagam holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Salford in the U.K. and an MBA with
distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

C. J. Pérez

Mr. Pérez is also the Founder and Managing Director of International Executive Recruiting Group (IERG). With over 25
years of executive recruiting experience, Mr. Pérez is skilled in understanding clients’ needs for key executives and
identifying talented individuals capable of thriving in diverse corporate environments across the U.S. and emerging
markets. He has expanded IERG’s offerings to include outsourced payroll services, independent contractor payment
services, and employer of record (EOR) services. Over the past 17 years, he has consistently met clients' requirements
for these services in countries including Australia, Chile, China, Colombia, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto
Rico, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela, navigating complex labor laws and regulations in each region.

Mr. Pérez began his career as a Telecommunications Analyst at Procter & Gamble Venezuela before transitioning into
marketing roles within the different consumer products business units at Warner Lambert. There, he gained increasing
responsibilities, managing major brands and launching new products in the Venezuelan market. After earning his MBA,
Mr. Pérez joined Bain & Company as a consultant, advising Fortune 100 companies in the U.S. and Mexico across
several industries including automotive, telecommunications, and retail. He was later recruited by Russell Reynolds
Associates to lead executive searches for U.S. technology clients and, in 2001, was tasked with opening and managing
the firm's Miami office to support its expansion across Latin America.

Mr. Pérez holds a B.S. in Electronics Engineering with a telecommunications focus from Universidad Simón Bolívar, in
Caracas, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
